The Japan Digital Medical Association ("the Association") recognizes the importance of protecting personal information and complies with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other applicable laws, handling personal information appropriately in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Article 1 (Definition of Personal Information)
"Personal information" in this Policy means personal information as defined in Article 2, Paragraph 1 of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information — that is, information about a living individual that can identify the specific individual by name, date of birth, or other description (including information that can be readily collated with other information and thereby identify the individual), or that contains an individual identification code.

The Association acquires personal information by appropriate and lawful means through the contact form on this website, the newsletter registration form, and other channels.

Article 3 (Purposes of Use)
The Association uses acquired personal information within the scope of the following purposes.

- For association activities such as guideline formulation and dissemination, research, and statistical analysis

Article 4 (Provision to Third Parties)
Except in the following cases, the Association will not provide personal information to third parties without obtaining the prior consent of the individual.

The Association may outsource all or part of the handling of personal information to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes of use. In such cases, the Association will appropriately screen the outsourcing partner and exercise necessary and appropriate supervision to ensure safe management.

The Association implements organizational, personnel, physical, and technical security management measures to prevent leakage, loss, or damage of personal information. This website employs communication encryption (TLS/HTTPS) and anti-spam measures such as reCAPTCHA when forms are submitted.

Article 8 (Disclosure, Correction, and Suspension of Use)
When an individual requests disclosure, correction, addition, or deletion of retained personal data, or suspension of use, erasure, or suspension of third-party provision under the Act, the Association will, after confirming the identity of the individual, respond without delay in accordance with the law. Article 9 (Changes to this Policy)
The Association may revise this Policy in response to amendments to laws or changes in its activities. The revised Policy takes effect from the time it is posted on this website.
